Teaching VS Teacher: Which One Are You?

you are not a teacher just because you teaching something to someone.

teacher is the one who touch your hand, mind and heart and makes you a better person and having a better life.

If you want to be a true teacher, you need to not only teach something to your students but you must also "touch" your student's "hand, mind and heart" with the intention to make your students become a better person.

Invest VS Gamble For Your Better Life

There are time, energy and money as a source you can use to live your daily life. Everytime you do something, you are actually investing some of those three main source of life. So think carefully before you invest any of it. After all, we are all investor in this world. So be a good investor. There sure is time when you need to gamble some of it, but all in all, choose to be a good investor rather than relying on your gambling skill(no matter how good you are at gambling your life).

Take time to think/choose/evaluate where to invest your time, energy and money so you will get valueable return on investment or benefit for your better life/future.

Better yet, never gamble.

When USD25 is about having a good time together

Yesterday was our farewell party, and everyone needed to contribute RM75(thats about USD25) to afford that party which will be held at hotel.

Because this party is a gesture of farewell, i think the USD25 is worth it. But somehow, some of us think that USD25 is too expensive. They argue that its totally insane to invest USD25 just for a one night dinner for they can spend the money to afford dinner for a whole week.

I think to my self, do you think the farewell party is for having a regular dinner? Hello, we are having it as a gesture of farewell, as sweet memory having dinner together for about 51 people here. Do you think you can have this another time for, say USD25? I say, never again.

The party went smoothly, but a few people don't come because they don't want to invest USD25 for having a good time together with the whole class.

Money, instead of sweet memory are their best interest. I demand the answer why??

Matieuisme's 7 Wisdom About Success

1. Want to be success? Have a dream, and have an action plan to realize that dream. And then act the plan. Than reflect whether you achieved success or not. Then repeat again from the beginning.

2. If you are cat, never try to compete racing with horse, expecting for success.( you may want to compete in cat race instead)

3. Refer to point number 2 above, If you don't know you are cat, try look into a mirror often. One day you will know who you are.(Then please stop racing with horse, and start racing with cat, ok...)

4. You will never become famous(and success) if you always sit in the middle, acting and feeling like you don't want anyone to notice you. (Yes, no one will notice you if you keep doing that. No one care either.)

5. Success is subjective. It depends on what you learned/heard/read about success from those around you, who live in same timeframe with you or before you.

6. Success can be achieved in one single step(such as success in switching a lamp), but meaningful success usually need more than a million steps (such as success in making your first million dollar)

7. You will be moved toward success if you put an act(whether small or big action) into achieving your dream, rather than just keep dreaming all day long.

The New 7 Wonders Of The World

1.The Pyramid at Chichén Itzá (before 800 A.D.) Mexico

Chichén Itzá, the most famous Mayan temple city, served as the political and economic center of the Mayan civilization. Its various structures - the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, and the Playing Field of the Prisoners – can still be seen today and are demonstrative of an extraordinary commitment to architectural space and composition. The pyramid itself was the last, and arguably the greatest, of all Mayan temples.

2. Christ Redeemer (1931) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This statue of Jesus stands some 38 meters tall, atop the Corcovado mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Designed by Brazilian Heitor da Silva Costa and created by French sculptor Paul Landowski, it is one of the world’s best-known monuments. The statue took five years to construct and was inaugurated on October 12, 1931. It has become a symbol of the city and of the warmth of the Brazilian people, who receive visitors with open arms.

3. The Roman Colosseum (70 - 82 A.D.) Rome, Italy

This great amphitheater in the centre of Rome was built to give favors to successful legionnaires and to celebrate the glory of the Roman Empire. Its design concept still stands to this very day, and virtually every modern sports stadium some 2,000 years later still bears the irresistible imprint of the Colosseum's original design. Today, through films and history books, we are even more aware of the cruel fights and games that took place in this arena, all for the joy of the spectators.

4. The Great Wall of China (220 B.C and 1368 - 1644 A.D.) China

The Great Wall of China was built to link existing fortifications into a united defense system and better keep invading Mongol tribes out of China. It is the largest man-made monument ever to have been built and it is disputed that it is the only one visible from space. Many thousands of people must have given their lives to build this colossal construction.

5. Machu Picchu (1460-1470), Peru

In the 15th century, the Incan Emperor Pachacútec built a city in the clouds on the mountain known as Machu Picchu ("old mountain"). This extraordinary settlement lies halfway up the Andes Plateau, deep in the Amazon jungle and above the Urubamba River. It was probably abandoned by the Incas because of a smallpox outbreak and, after the Spanish defeated the Incan Empire, the city remained 'lost' for over three centuries. It was rediscovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911.

6. Petra (9 B.C. - 40 A.D.), Jordan

On the edge of the Arabian Desert, Petra was the glittering capital of the Nabataean empire of King Aretas IV (9 B.C. to 40 A.D.). Masters of water technology, the Nabataeans provided their city with great tunnel constructions and water chambers. A theater, modelled on Greek-Roman prototypes, had space for an audience of 4,000. Today, the Palace Tombs of Petra, with the 42-meter-high Hellenistic temple facade on the El-Deir Monastery, are impressive examples of Middle Eastern culture.

7. The Taj Mahal (1630 A.D.) Agra, India

This immense mausoleum was built on the orders of Shah Jahan, the fifth Muslim Mogul emperor, to honor the memory of his beloved late wife. Built out of white marble and standing in formally laid-out walled gardens, the Taj Mahal is regarded as the most perfect jewel of Muslim art in India. The emperor was consequently jailed and, it is said, could then only see the Taj Mahal out of his small cell window.

Finding A True Friend In 7 Enlightening Tips

1. Model the characteristics of true friendship that you seek. In doing so, you may find your current friendships gradually falling away. As you model true friendship, unconditional love, and acceptance of others, people who do not share these beliefs and behaviors will become uncomfortable and will drift away. This temporary loss, though disturbing, is necessary to make room in your life for the true friends that you want.

2. When you talk to people, be honest! That doesn't mean dumping all of your personal information in the first five minutes, but be clear about who you are. Don't agree with people just for the sake of agreeing with them, that builds fake relationships.

3. A genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, and a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life.

4. True friendship involves action: doing something for someone else while expecting nothing in return; sharing thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or negative criticism.

5. Trust is essential to true friendship. Real friends encourage one another and forgive one another where there has been an offense. Friends are dependable. In true friendship, unconditional love develops. We love our friends no matter what and we always want the best for our friends.

6. Don't think having friends, even true ones, will make you feel better about yourself. You're the only one who can make you happy when it's all said and done.

7. Enjoy your time. You don't need someone around you 24/7, be comfortable with yourself. Read a book, take a walk, be a part of life. If you're dependant on people too much it's hard to build any real friendships- having friends won't make you feel less lonely, you'll only be less alone.

7 Tips To Improve Your Concentration

1. Counting backward from 100 to 1. - Try counting 100 to 1 by using your inner voice. By doing this, you are actually training your mind to be more concentrated to your inner voice. Try visualize the number as vivid as possible while you counting it. While doing this, you will feel really bored at first, but after some practice, you will find your mind become more focused while you are thinking about something important.

2. Visual Meditation version 1 - You do it by selecting any geometric shape you found around you, and then focus your eyes on that shape for about 5 to 15 minutes. For example, while you are sitting in a restaurant, waiting for your friend to come, you look at your watch, you notice its round shape(at this point, just ignore anything else, just concentrate on the round shape of the your watch) and look at it without thinking about anything else. You will feel your whole body and even your mind started to calm down and relax. By doing this, you are actually training your visual meditation. Simple yet effective exersize. Anytime, anywhere.

3. Visual Meditation version 2 - This time, you need a piece of paper, and you need to draw a geometric shape, for example a box shape on that paper, and then put the paper about 30 - 60 centimeter in front of you, and then focus your eyes on the box shape for about 5 to 10 minutes. The effect is same like Visual Meditation Version 1. You may want to do this with a table in front of you.

4. Bionic ears - while sitting calmly, try to use your ear to listen carefully to the sound all around you. Try to tell yourself about what you just hear. For example, ile you listening carefully, you heard a fan, then tell yourself "fan", and then when you heard your neighbour's child crying, you said to your self "neighbour's child crying" and so on. Try to identify and differentiate as many sound as possible. By doing this, you are actually training your ear to be more focused. Try it, it will be fun, really.

5. Empty your mind - You can do this while sitting alone in your room with your eyes and ears closed. And then, try push away any thought from your mind. Try to keep this for about 5 to 10 minutes. You may want to use alarm clock to wake you up after 5 to 10 minutes later. By doing this, you are training to control what comes into your mind.

6. Say the alphabet backwards - This is another version of counting backward from 100 to 1 but this time is using alphabet. Try visualize the letter as vivid as possible while saying it. With some practice, your concentration will increase.

7. A candle flame – Sitting in front of a candle and concentrating on nothing but the flame for 5 – 10 minutes will enhance your powers of concentration considerably.

Your 7 Ways to Ditch Boredom

1. Work It Out Why You Are Bored - Try list it out as many as you can. If you are bored because you are doing something that you have done many times before, try change it a bit, next time.

2. Write a Blog - a blog might be a good place to start. Nothing to say? That could be an indication that you have inner issues that make you such a boring person.

3. Acting Outside The Box - In his book The 4-Hour Work Week, Timothy Ferriss has this suggestion: "Once per day for two days, simply lie down in the middle of a crowded public place. Just lie down and remain silent on the ground for about ten seconds..." "It isn't enough to think outside the box," Ferriss says. "Thinking is passive. Get used to acting outside the box."

4. Find a Hobby That Interest You - It might be an interest that you always wished you had time to explore, but never had the time or money required to pursue.

5. Read a Book - There's probably one you've been meaning to pick up for the last few months. Or one you'd like to read again. So rather than click "Get Mail" 17 times in 20 minutes and hope for something new, open up a good book and get lost in another world.

6. Listening to Music On Your i-Pod or MP3 player - Pretty self-explanatory, but it's a good way to spend your time that doesn't involve reading 300 page ebook or watching stupid funny clips.

7. If you are easily bored, look within. A bored person might be a boring person. Maybe you need to develop yourself as a person. It's why children are so easily bored. They haven't fully developed.
